CORD has called off tomorrow’s anti-IEBC protests to allow dialogue after consultations with members of business community and other stakeholders.Machakos senator Johnston Muthama has said CORD will not hold demonstrations on Monday, adding that by Wednesday evening is when they will decide whether there will be anti-IEBC protests on Thursday.The CORD secretariat said the decision came after extensive consultations with members of the business community and other relevant stakeholders. “We have decided to give room for dialogue but response must come in the next 48 hours. If no response from Jubilee, we will resume our demonstrations,” said Siaya senator James Orengo.Earlier police Inspector Joseph Boinnet had promised to give security to the demonstrators during their protests.
