Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and his Bahati counterpart Kimani Ngunjiri
The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) will summon Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and his Bahati counterpart Kimani Ngunjiri over hate speech.NCIC chairman Francis Ole Kaparo said the commission would also ask the court to cancel Mr Kuria’s bond in a pending hate speech case.
Mr Kuria allegedly called for the assassination of Cord leader Raila Odinga in remarks allegedly made at the Safaricom Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.Police have issued a report that they are investigating the MP together with Ferdinand Waititu after they were captured on video making inflammatory and inciting remarks against a community in Nairobi. While Waititu allegedly called for circumcision of Luos in Nairobi, Kuria is said to have called for the assassination of Cord leader Raila Odinga.Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet said they have the videos and would study them before summoning the two leaders who made the remarks in Kasarani on Sunday.”It is wrong and that is why we have launched the probe to get to the bottom of it. We have the video which we are reviewing for action,” said Boinnet.In the video, Kuria is heard asking the government to “assassinate” Cord leader Raila Odinga because he is a “threat to the nation”.

Mr Ngunjiri was captured on video asking the youth to ensure that members of a certain community leave Nakuru Town and its environs “immediately”. The MP spoke on Saturday when he addressed rowdy youths who were attempting to storm a hotel in Nakuru where Mr Odinga was holding a meeting with local professionals and party officials.
