A bomb scare caused anxiety at the Canadian Embassy along Limuru Road in Nairobi on Thursday morning.Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome said they received alerts of a suspected explosive device. The device was reportedly taken to the location in a delivery van that was spotted by a cleaner at the embassy. But Koome called for calm saying there was no reason for worry.
He said traffic was diverted to Naivasha Road and the building housing the embassy evacuated.
“We are at the embassy with sniffer dogs and bomb experts. We are working towards unraveling what exactly happened,” he said.
