Embakasi East MP’s bodyguards arrested for extortion


Two bodyguards attached to Embakasi East MP John Omondi have been arrested.The two Tobias Oluth and his colleague Bob Mosioma Bigogo were arrested in Kayole on Saturday over alleged extortion. It is alleged Omondi of Embakasi police station and his colleague based at the Logistics headquarters in Ruaraka demanded cash from two men they arrested on Kangundo road.
The two victims, Gabriel Oduor and Fredrick Owino Ogutu told the police that the two officers held them together with a member of public who was later identified as Mr Michael Ndigo.The victims said they were bundled in a car registration number KBL 557D – Toyota Wish model – and driven to Nyama Villa in Kayole.Police officers on patrol stopped the vehicle and arrested the 5 occupants.The officers are being investigated for the offense as well as being in possession of a stolen car.
